South Dakota is famous for its pheasant hunting. The birds exist in great numbers and provide some of the best wing shooting in the world. We offer 100% wild birds. We are not a "chicken farm". Let's be honest - You do not need to come all the way to South Dakota to hunt released birds. That you can do at home. True wild pheasant hunting is a completely different experience then pen raised birds and not offered by many South Dakota operations.
These birds are smart, fear humans, fly like the wind and are tougher then nails! On our DVD you will see some of the "battle tactics" we employ to try and outsmart them. Not your usual walk-um-up type hunt. You will find these birds a true challenge. Many will escape the hunters and dogs but plenty will be in range offering some excellent shooting.
We have thousands of acres of food plots, CRP fields, wind breaks etc. as well as ponds, ditches and marsh. This adds up to habitat, habitat, habitat! The hunt package includes lodge, guide, dogs (or bring your own) and field transportation. You bring your own food and beverage. Modern farm house with full kitchen, satellite TV and even a whirlpool tub! Located near Highmore South Dakota. (1.5 hours NW of Mitchell)
